On April 26, 2011, the company that originally started out as Medical Reimbursement Systems, Inc. (MRSI) officially changed its name to LogixHealth.

This was purely a name change; MRSI was not sold or acquired, nor did it merge or restructure. It was simply because we had evolved significantly since first opening our doors, and our name needed to change to keep up with the company we had become.

Founded by several physicians in the 1990s, our original mission was to provide optimized ED coding and billing services for our own practices. We chose the name Medical Reimbursement Systems, Inc. (MRSI), and quickly expanded to provide that same great service to others.

In the ensuing years, we operated with a strong commitment to our clients, treating every practice as we would treat our own. At the same time, we adapted and reacted to changes in healthcare, which required us to become a much broader partner for our clients. As a result, our company grew to become one of the nation's leading providers of healthcare services for both hospitals and physicians, providing a complete range of solutions that go well beyond coding and billing – including regulatory and compliance consulting, software development, document management, claims management, quality and practice performance data analysis, business intelligence tools and ASP hosting in our state-of-the-art data center, plus much more.

Because of this growth and diversification of services, our name no longer accurately reflected the broader capabilities and services of our company. We decided it was time to make a change that was more consistent with what our company had become, and that would continue to be a reflection of our company for the foreseeable future.

The name we chose was LogixHealth.
